Every organisation has a wide and varied range of data recording requirements. Charitylog recognises this and has included an ability to create as many additional data 'tables' as required. This extra data may be associated with Clients, Staff, Volunteers or other organisations, as well as with the day to day Diary Entries.
You are able to choose which Projects a specific set of data is to be recorded against and also the types of users who have access to it.
If you need to add extra data, there is a simple process of defining what the data is for, where it is available for entry by users and access limitations. You may then create a list of the actual data (fields) you wish to have recorded.
Charitylog allows a range of field types, including text, numbers, money, dates and selection lists. Creating them is very simple and the program takes you through the process. Extra data collection for Rooms inthe House
The end result is that you will be able to enter all kinds of extra information, such as in this trivial example where the rooms in the house have been recorded.
You are able to create records for as many rooms as required, and each room can be edited using the same style of data entry as exists in the rest of the program.
A flexible reporting system allows you to extract, sort and present the data either in printed reports or into Excel spreadsheets.
One of the problems of IT in typical charitable organisations is that the data collection needs are very diverse and can vary significantly between projects. This facility allows Charitylog to provide much needed flexibility in data recording.
For example, different funders may have different requirements for the breakdown of criteria such as Age Bands or Ethnic Groups - this facility allows you to define different sets of options by Project and can even link data back to the client records if required.
