Reports, Export and Mail Merge

One of the major benefits of Charitylog is the ability to produce data required by funders. Typically this data can change both between contracts and over time. Charitylog provides a number of reports, both summary and detailed, some of which are directly used by funders such as Social Services.

Examples are the Monthly Summary of Activity and the Referrals Report.

Other reports include

• Summary activity and breakdowns by a variety of criteria such as age bands, ethnic groups etc
• Action Lists of outstanding actions against staff
• Clients on Waiting Lists
• Outcome Reports
• Volunteer assignments
• Project time and cost summaries.

Most reports can be exported into Excel for increased analysis or presentational changes.

For more detailed reporting, there is an export procedure which can be used to create Excel spreadsheets, from which further analysis and charting can be done very simply.

Mail-Merge

There is a mail merge option, which allows the selection of the criteria required for an export of client details, as well as the ability to choose which items of information should be produced.

These mail-merge selections can be saved and run as often as required. The data is presented directly to an Excel spreadsheet, from where it is simple to incorporate into a Word document, or to other systems.

Scanned documents and images can be uploaded to Charitylog, giving more accessibility. However, there is user level security to ensure that confidential documents are visible only to those staff nominated to see them.
